Saitama and Death Note are both legends in the anime world, but they come from two completely different kinds of stories. Saitama, also known as One Punch Man, is the strongest Hero who can defeat any enemy with a single punch.
On the other hand, the Death Note is a mysterious notebook that can kill anyone just by writing their name, as long as the writer knows their face. This brings up an interesting question that anime fans love to debate: Can the Death Note actually kill Saitama? Let’s break this down and see who might come out on top.

The Rules Of The Death Note

The Death Note follows a strict set of rules. If someone writes your name in it while thinking of your face, you will die. If no cause of death is written, the person dies of a heart attack in 40 seconds. It sounds like an unstoppable weapon, but it has limits. For example, if you don’t know the real name of the person, the Death Note doesn’t work.
That’s already a problem for Light Yagami; 'Saitama' might just be a nickname, not his full legal name, and the Death Note needs both a real name and a face to work. On top of that, the notebook only affects humans with measurable lifespans, and if Saitama has transcended what it means to be human, the Death Note might not even recognize him as a valid target.
Saitama: Beyond Human?

Saitama is known for breaking every rule of power in anime. He can defeat anything with just one punch. No matter how strong the villain, no matter how serious the fight, Saitama always wins easily. Because of this, many fans believe Saitama isn’t even fully human anymore. He’s become something more: a being who defies logic, power scaling, and even plot armor.
If the Death Note only works on normal humans, it’s questionable whether it would even recognize Saitama as a target. Plus, One Punch Man is a parody of overpowered anime characters; Saitama’s whole existence is built around the idea that he can’t lose. So even if Light tried to use the Death Note on him, it would fail, because Saitama isn’t meant to be beaten.
