Kenjaku, Not Sukuna, Should Have Been Jujutsu Kaisen’s True Final Villain

Kenjaku and Sukuna

Jujutsu Kaisen has introduced many powerful and terrifying antagonists, but none have been as dominant as Sukuna and Kenjaku. While Sukuna is the King of Curses and the series’ strongest fighter, Kenjaku has been pulling the strings behind the scenes for centuries.

Despite Sukuna being positioned as the ultimate villain, Kenjaku’s intelligence, long-term planning, and impact on the Jujutsu world make him a more fitting final boss. If he had been the final villain of the story, Jujutsu Kaisen would have been even better than we know it today.

Kenjaku's Influence Over Story In Jujutsu Kaisen

From the very beginning, Kenjaku has played a massive role in shaping the events of Jujutsu Kaisen. Unlike Sukuna, who is primarily focused on regaining his power and fighting strong opponents, Kenjaku has been manipulating the Jujutsu world for centuries. By possessing different bodies, including Noritoshi Kamo and Suguru Geto, he has set up major conflicts that led to the current chaos.

Kenjaku's most significant achievement was orchestrating the Culling Game, which forced Jujutsu Sorcerers and civilians into a brutal survival contest. He has also been responsible for major incidents, including the creation of the Death Painting Wombs and the resurrection of ancient sorcerers. His ability to think ahead and strategize makes him far more dangerous than someone like Sukuna, who mainly relies on his strength.

Why Kenjaku Is More Threatening Than Sukuna In Jujutsu Kaisen

Why Kenjaku is a better villain than Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen

Sukuna is undoubtedly the strongest villain in Jujutsu Kaisen, but his motivations are simple. He enjoys destruction and wants to establish his dominance. While this makes him an incredible opponent in battle, it also limits his impact as a villain. Kenjaku, on the other hand, has sinister goals that involve reshaping the entire world of Jujutsu sorcery. His ability to possess bodies and manipulate people allows him to stay relevant in the story, unlike Sukuna, who relies on direct combat.

Then comes his understanding of the bigger picture. He has knowledge of the Jujutsu world that even the strongest sorcerers lack. While Sukuna is a powerhouse, he is still bound by limitations such as needing a proper vessel. Kenjaku’s ability to switch between hosts and influence global events makes him a more significant long-term threat.

Sukuna Is More Of A Traditional Villain

One of the biggest reasons Sukuna was chosen as the final villain is his classic 'big bad' energy. He is ruthless, powerful, and constantly looks down on others. In many ways, he fits the traditional role of a shonen antagonist who must be defeated in an epic final battle.

However, compared to other great villains in anime, Sukuna lacks the deep motivations that make a villain truly compelling. He is a force of nature rather than a mastermind. Kenjaku, on the other hand, has been scheming for hundreds of years, setting up plans that involve manipulation and deception. He represents something much scarier than raw power, which often make villains more dangerous.

Final Verdict: A Villain With A Perfect Mix Of Intelligence And Power

Kenjaku vs Sukuna Jujutsu Kaisen

While Sukuna is an undeniably powerful and menacing villain, Kenjaku should have been the true final antagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen. His centuries-long schemes, ability to manipulate both Sorcerers and Curses and vision for the future of Jujutsu make him a more fitting endgame opponent.

Ultimately, Sukuna represents strength, but Kenjaku represents control. A final battle against Kenjaku would have been a test of both physical and mental endurance, forcing the protagonists to counter his strategies rather than just overpower him in battle.
