These Hashira Never Got The Farewell They Deserved In Demon Slayer

These Hashira Never Got The Farewell That They Deserved In Demon Slayer

The Hashira are the strongest swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps. They are powerful, brave, and often give their lives to protect others. Every Hashira’s journey is emotional, but not all of them got the proper farewell they deserved. While some were honored and remembered, others faded away without a final goodbye. It’s a painful truth for fans who admired these heroes.

One of the saddest parts of Demon Slayer is how the war against Muzan affected not just the world but also the ones who fought for it. The Infinity Castle arc took a heavy toll, and not everyone got to return home. Even in death, some of the bravest Hashira were denied the respect and peace they deserved.

Check out our YouTube Short to see why these Hashira never got a proper funeral.

Muichiro And Shinobu's Bodies Were Never Recovered

Muichiro Tokito and Shinobu Kocho death

Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, died deep inside the collapsing Infinity Castle. He fought with everything he had and played a huge role in defeating Upper Moon One. But after the battle, as the castle crumbled, Muichiro's body was never found. It’s heartbreaking to know that someone so young and strong just disappeared, never to be laid to rest with the others.

On the other hand, Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira, had a tragic end as well. She planned her own death by letting herself be absorbed by Doma, the Upper Moon Two Demon. She was fully consumed before anyone could save her. Her sacrifice was part of a bigger plan, and it worked, but it also meant that nothing of her remained. No body, no grave, just memories and pain.

They Deserved A Better End In Demon Slayer

Shinobu and Muichiro at the Hashira meeting

After the final battle, the Hashira who died in the Infinity Castle were buried at Kaikoma Mountain, a peaceful and beautiful place. It was a way to honor their lives, bravery, and everything they stood for. But since Muichiro and Shinobu’s bodies were never recovered, they were not buried there. They didn’t get the quiet farewell that the others did.

It feels unfair. These two gave just as much, if not more than the others. They faced powerful enemies and fought with courage until the very end. And yet, their sacrifices didn’t end with peaceful rest. Their absence at Kaikoma Mountain leaves a gap not only in the Demon Slayer Corps but in the hearts of fans too.
