In a crazy crossover thought, many fans have wondered what would happen if Light Yagami, with his Death Note, tried to kill Goku from Dragon Ball. It's the ultimate battle between mind and muscle. Light is the genius with a deadly notebook, and Goku is the Saiyan warrior who has taken down gods and survived planet-destroying attacks.
But could writing Goku’s name in the Death Note actually work? The idea is fun to imagine, but it also opens up some big questions about how the Death Note works and how Goku exists in his universe. Goku is not just any human. He’s an alien with insane power, and he’s died and come back to life more than once. So, does the Death Note even apply to someone like him? Watch our YouTube Short to find out if Goku stands a chance against Death Note.
The Rules Of The Death Note Probably Won't Work

The Death Note has some clear rules. To kill someone, you need to know their real name and picture their face. Once written, that person dies in 40 seconds unless a cause of death is added. This rule works well in the Death Note world because there are no alien species, except for the Shinigamis.
But Goku isn’t human; he’s a Saiyan from another planet, so it's highly unlikely that the Death Note will work against him. Even if we consider a small possibility that the Death Note will work, the Dragon Ball characters can come back with the help of the Dragon Balls. So even if Light could kill Goku (which is already debatable), Goku might just return like he’s done many times before.
Can Death Note Kill Goku In Any Way?

Here’s the big twist: according to the Death Note’s rules, it cannot kill the same soul twice. Goku has already died more than once and has been revived with the help of the Dragon Balls. So technically, Goku's soul has already been taken and brought back. That makes it believable that the notebook may not recognize him as a valid target anymore.
In short, even if Light Yagami somehow found a way to write Goku’s name, the Death Note likely wouldn’t work. Goku’s connection to life and death is far more complicated than anything the notebook was designed for. He exists outside the normal limits of human life, which means even the Death Note probably isn’t enough to stop him.
