Modern Weapons: Our Best Bet To Stop The Rumbling In Real Life

Now, this might sound crazy, but stopping the Rumbling with real-world weapons might actually be possible. In Attack on Titan, the Survey Corps managed to fight and defeat Titans using nothing but swords and ODM gear. That alone proves Titans aren’t invincible. So, when you think about it, humanity today has far more advanced tools at its disposal.

We have fighter jets, missiles, tanks, and most of all, nuclear weapons. While nukes come with serious risks, their power could wipe out large groups of Colossal Titans at once. Precision drone strikes, smart bombs, and railguns could also slow down the Titans. Compared to swords and cables, we’re definitely more equipped for large-scale attacks.

Strategy, Speed, And Technology Can Make A Difference

Titans are huge and powerful, but they’re also slow. Their size makes them easy to spot from far away, giving time to plan an attack. Using satellites and radar, we could track their movement in real-time and strike before they reach major cities. With coordinated attacks, it’s possible to keep them away from populated areas.

Also, we’ve seen in the anime that hitting a Titan’s nape is key to taking it down. With modern targeting systems, hitting that spot isn’t that hard. A swarm of drones with thermal vision or missiles guided by AI could take out dozens at once. So yes, if humanity joins forces with a solid plan, the Rumbling can definitely be stopped in real life.
