How Was The World Government Formed In One Piece?

But even though the World Government is always present in the story, not many fans know how it was actually formed. Its beginning goes back hundreds of years and is deeply connected to the mysterious Void Century.
In the current timeline of One Piece, the World Government acts like the final authority. But its roots are far more shady and secretive than most people think. To understand its power, fans need to look back at the ancient war between the Great Kingdom and the 20 nations that joined hands to destroy it. These Celestial Dragons don't do much themselves, but the Government and Marines protect them at all costs.
At the same time, something strange happened. The records of that war and the Great Kingdom completely vanished. This lost part of history is now called the Void Century. Only the Poneglyphs, large stone blocks created by the Kozuki Clan, hold the truth about what happened. But reading them is banned by the World Government. Anyone who tries is called a criminal, which shows how far the government will go to hide its true origin.

The current leaders of the World Government are known as the Five Elders. They make important decisions, control world news, and lead the Marines from the shadows. Imu sits on the Empty Throne, a place that was supposed to show that no one rules the world alone. But the truth is very different.
