Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 224 Leaks Show Reference To Hunter X Hunter And Yu Yu Hakusho

Jujutsu Kaisen is on the hype recently since the Gojo VS Sukuna battle has begun. Fans had been waiting for the battle of these legends for a long time and their wait has now been rewarded. The battle has commenced.

The most recent leaks of the fight between Gojo and Sukuna are more than enough to excite the fans. However, what excited the fans most were the references to the works of Yoshihiro Togashi, namely Hunter X Hunter and Yu Yu Hakusho. Let's see in which part Gege Akutami inspired his recent chapter from Togashi's work.

Gojo's Reference To Hunter X Hunter

The Jajanken punch used by Gon in Hunter X Hunter is one of the references in the new chapter. Gon Freecss is seen using this devastating attack quite often in the series, which ultimately leads to the defeat of his enemies.

While fighting in the falling building, both the gladiators put a door between them and prepare to punch through it. In this part where Gojo takes the stance to punch through the door, he takes the position just like Gon does while he prepares for Jajanken, holding one of his hand with the other, which looks like he is loading his hand for a devastating punch.

Sukuna's Reference To Yu Yu Hakusho

As Sukuna skillfully unleashed his Dismantle technique, he took aim at Gojo, pointing a finger gun with deadly precision. However, Gojo, ever the agile combatant, managed to evade the devastating attack just in the nick of time. The unfortunate consequence of this evasion, though, was that the building situated directly behind Gojo was literally sliced in half and started falling.

Observant fans couldn't help but notice a striking resemblance between Sukuna's technique and the renowned Spirit Gun attack famously employed by Yusuke Urameshi in the beloved anime series Yu Yu Hakusho.

The fans of Jujutsu Kaisen, Hunter x Hunter, and Yu Yu Hakusho saw this as a great reference and complimented the way Gege Akutami hid these references in the series. As seen in the fan reactions, they were quite excited and amused by these references.
