Toji managed to infiltrate their protective barrier and attacked Satoru from behind, severely wounding him. Despite the injury, Satoru and Suguru fought back, but Toji proved to be an extremely formidable opponent. Toji's incredible speed and lack of cursed energy made him difficult to track and predict, putting Satoru at a disadvantage. He employed various tactics, including using cursed spirits and fly heads to create distractions, exploiting Satoru's blind spots. In a shocking twist, Toji revealed that he had set the time limit on Riko's bounty to force Satoru to release his Infinity, making him vulnerable. In the end, Toji managed to land a fatal blow on Satoru, seemingly killing him. This left Suguru devastated and determined to fulfill their mission. He escorted Kuroi and Riko to the Tombs of the Star, intending to help Riko merge with Tengen as planned. But tragedy struck again when Toji appeared in the Tombs of the Star, claiming to have killed Satoru. Now, Geto must face off against this deadly foe and protect Riko while coming to terms with the loss of his dear friend, Satoru.
