The nine special Titans come with unique abilities and a deep history that goes all the way back to Ymir Fritz. Unlike the Abnormal Titans, the special nine Titans are brutal fighters and carry strategic minds, playing a major role in how the war between Marley and the Eldians unfolds.
Ranking these Titans by power simply depends on what they can do in battle, how useful their abilities are, and how much of a threat they are to others. Let’s go ahead and rank all nine Titan Shifters from weakest to strongest, and explain what makes each of them stand out.

9/9 Cart Titan

The Cart Titan is probably the least powerful in terms of strength, but it’s still important in its own way. It has insane endurance and can stay in Titan form way longer than any other Shifter, which makes it perfect for long missions and carrying heavy weapons. That’s why you’ll always see it mounted with guns, armor, or supplies on the battlefield.
But when it comes to actual one-on-one combat, the Cart Titan doesn’t really stand a chance. It’s fast, sure, but it lacks any real attack power or durability. It works best with support, not solo. Pieck, the Titan’s user, is incredibly smart, though, and that helps make it more useful than people give it credit for.
8/9 Jaw Titan

The Jaw Titan is small, fast, and incredibly dangerous when it gets close. Its jaw and claws are strong enough to crush almost anything, even the War Hammer Titan's crystal shell. It’s like a fast-moving assassin on the battlefield, zipping around and striking hard before enemies know what hit them.
The problem is that its small size also makes it easier to take down with a well-placed hit. It doesn't have much defense, and it can’t do much from a distance. In terms of pure speed and biting power, it’s awesome, but in a big fight, it can only do so much without getting wrecked.
7/9 Female Titan

The Female Titan is one of the most well-rounded Titans in the series. It can harden parts of its body to block or deal damage, and it’s smart enough to call other Titans to help using a scream. Annie used it really well, showing off martial arts and combat skills that made her a nightmare to fight.
But in terms of raw power, it doesn’t stand out that much anymore. Once other Titans with more specialized abilities showed up, the Female Titan became more of a balanced type instead of a top-tier threat. Still, in the right hands, it’s extremely dangerous and flexible.
6/9 Colossal Titan

The Colossal Titan is just massive. Its size alone makes it terrifying. When Bertholdt first appeared and kicked the wall, it set the entire story into motion. On top of that, it can create a huge explosion when it transforms, wiping out anything nearby.
But its size is also its weakness. It’s super slow, easy to hit, and uses up a lot of energy fast. It’s more like a giant bomb than a regular fighter. Armin used it smartly, but in most situations, it’s too heavy and slow to be effective for long periods.
5/9 Armored Titan

The Armored Titan is a tank. With its hard shell covering most of its body, it’s made to charge into battle and take damage head-on. Reiner uses it to break through defenses, protect allies, and go toe-to-toe with almost anyone.
But its armor isn’t perfect — it can be broken, and it also slows Reiner down. Once newer weapons came out, like Thunder Spears, the Armored Titan wasn’t as invincible as it used to be. Still, its durability and battlefield presence make it one of the most dependable Titans.
4/9 Beast Titan

The Beast Titan is strong, smart, and dangerous from a long range. Zeke Yeager uses it like a baseball pitcher, throwing rocks with deadly accuracy. But his real power comes from his royal blood — he can turn Eldians into Titans just by screaming after giving them his spinal fluid.
That special power gives him a huge edge. He’s not just about brute force — Zeke is a thinker. His strategies and abilities changed the entire battlefield. Without royal blood, the Beast Titan wouldn’t rank this high, but with Zeke, it’s one of the most lethal Titans in the series.
3/9 War Hammer Titan

The War Hammer Titan is one of the most unique and tricky Shifters to fight. It can make weapons out of thin air; swords, spikes, even crossbows; and use them with incredible skill. On top of that, its user can control it remotely from underground, which is crazy.
The only reason it’s not number one is that it burns through energy fast and leaves the user vulnerable once discovered. Still, the creativity and power of the War Hammer Titan are wild. If it catches you off guard, you’re done.
2/9 Attack Titan

The Attack Titan is more than just fists and rage; it holds a secret power called the “memory inheritance” ability, which lets its users see the memories of its future users. Eren used this to plan far ahead, controlling events in ways no one saw coming.
Combine that power with solid strength and agility, and the Attack Titan becomes one of the most powerful Titans in Attack on Titan. Also, the Attack Titan is considered a symbol of rebellion and freedom. Eren made it terrifying, not just through force, but through his will to destroy anything to achieve freedom.
1/9 Founding Titan

The Founding Titan is hands down the strongest Titan in Attack on Titan. It can control all other Titans, change Eldian bodies, erase memories, and even affect the future. That’s why everyone, Marley, the Eldians, and the royal family, wanted it so badly.
When Eren combined the Founding Titan with the powers of the Attack and War Hammer Titans, he became a god-like force. Nothing else comes close. Whoever has the Founding Titan can literally reshape the world, with the Rumbling, like Eren did.
